Digby is the UK's first trainee guide horse and he's a very good boy

Well now it seems he's hot to trot. Digby has been assigned to BBC journalist Mohammed Salim Patel. Patel is blind and has a fear of dogs, so Digby means for the first time in his life he can have a guide animal.

"For me having an assistance animal is something I gave up on," Patel told the BBC. "With Digby and because of Digby, I can go where I want when I want."
Patel tweeted about his first time out and about in Blackburn with the mini-horse.

Digby isn't quite a fully fledged assistance animal yet; at only eight months old he still needs to spend a little time getting used to his duties.
Good luck to you, little horse.
