Apple offers battery replacements for some 13
Apple is again saying it will replace batteries on some of its devices. This time, though, the issue isn't an iPhone -- it's a MacBook.
Specifically, 13-inch non-Touch Bar MacBook Pros, which Apple says could have a defect that causes the battery to "expand."

You can check to confirm whether your laptop is affected by looking up your serial number on Apple's website.
Apple notes that the battery expansion "is not a safety issue," so it doesn't sound like people with MacBook Pros need to worry about their batteries suddenly exploding. Nevertheless, battery malfunctions are a serious issue, and one that obviously affects your ability to use your laptop, so it's probably a good idea to check yours.
And, on the upside, if your battery performance is starting to dwindle, this might be a good opportunity to get a replacement on Apple's dime. (The company says it will offer refunds for anyone who has already paid for a replacement due to the same issue.)
