Henry Cavill's mustache is being digitally removed in 'Justice League' reshoots
Henry Cavill's mustache is caught between two studios. The good news is, they can fix it in post.
Varietyreported Monday that Justice Leagueis going through extensive reshoots as Joss Whedon aims to punch up the dialogue and, let's be real here, not let it turn into Suicide Squadredux.
Rumors of a big re-do swirled around Comic-Con all weekend, but the key detail that emerged in Variety's reporting: Cavill's caterpillar is a problem.
That's because Cavill — who did not travel to San Diego for Comic-Con — is in the midst of shooting Mission: Impossible 6in London (and enjoying some polo on the side, as we can see in the photo above from this weekend). He grew that lip toupee specifically for the Missionrole.
Paramount Pictures, where M:I 6is being made, is accommodating Cavill's schedule to handle his reshoots in the Superman suit. On one condition: The 'stache stays.
No problem, really — the advancement of digital retouching in movies means Cavill can get a digital shave for whatever scenes he'll have to shoot for Justice league.
Now if we could just get digital shaves into the real world ...
